Take a slow, deep breath in through your nose, hold... Now exhale slowly out of your mouth.
Breathing gently, tap on the side of your hand, the Karate Chop Point (kcP) and repeat after me, in your mind, or out loud (to quote Tony Robbins: saying it out loud engages more of your body):
kcP: Even though I’m shaking and I’m done with his shit, I love, accept and forgive myself completely. I choose to breathe deeply and relax.
kcP: Even though I'm still shaking, really hungry and I can't fathom food, I love, accept and forgive myself completely. I choose to breathe deeply and relax.
kcP: Even though I'm so stressed I can't think straight, I love, accept and forgive myself completely. I choose peace now.
EB: This is some straight-up bullshit.
SE: I’m done being the adult for a grown-ass man.
UE: He’s draining me
UN: He has left me with no money, no food, and no peace.
UM: I can’t even eat because I’m so stressed.
CB: My jaw is tight.
UA: My stomach’s twisted.
TH: But it’s not my fault. I didn’t cause this chaos, and I don’t have to carry all of this with me.
EB: I breathe deeply into this tight chest, and give my whole body permission to relax.
SE: My body is freaking out—but I get why.
UE: It’s been in survival mode for months now.
UN : Surviving, is not thriving.
UM: I’m allowed to breathe, rest, and eat.
CB: I don’t need to solve everything right now.
UA: I need to become calm, centered, grounded, and come back to me.
TH: Calm hands. Calm breath. Calm belly. Food can wait one more minute while I thank my body for all it's done, I tell my nervous system: “You are safe now.”
Put both hands on you heart and repeat after me:
"This body has carried me through hell.
"This mind has survived worse.
"This soul is still standing.
"One breath at a time.
"One boundary at a time.
"I can do this
"Because I already am.
"I AM ENOUGH."
Gently shake out your hands, take a deep breath, feel your feet on the floor.
Right here and right now: YOU ARE SAFE.o
